Why is it when we are talking about Windows some people seem to take it personal when displeasure is voiced over a Microsoft product and we always seem to hear "well, I like it" and "you just don't understand it"
If I'm talking with friends and I say that new Dodge Dart is a POS nobody pipes up and tries to defend the Dart.....

If you're friend likes the Dart, I'm sure he will voice his opinion. You're question about the phenomenon might result in better answers in the psychology forum rather than a thread in the computer forum.

You see the same thing with Linux, with Macs, and in the past with other OSes. I guess people don't like their product of choice being questioned.
Because everybody knows Chrysler/Dodge products are consistently the very bottom of the quality chart and are in fact POS's. lol
Everyone doesn't know that. I used to think that way too, but I have seen the light.
