I finished my system late last night, and it seems to be working great. Startup time is almost instant. It seems to be very fast and responsive. Here is a photo (it looks purple in the photo but is actually pink)

Good job!
It looks nice. Enjoy your new self-build PC!

PS. RGB lighting speeds up the boot time by at least 2 seconds, especially if the color is Pink or Magenta.

Of course, the above is not even remotely true!

Unfortunately, I couldn't change the color of the LEDs on my RAM; the RAM I bought requires Corsair iCUE which my motherboard doesn't support and cannot be controlled with MSI Mystic Light, yes, I should have done further research, but it isn't a huge deal. This was one of the least expensive RGB RAM modules I found from a major brand.

Nice. Enjoy the build. I have always loved the excitement of firing up a fresh new build. But now, for the real test, lets check out your cables. This has always been a sore spot for me. Luckily, the case on my latest build has really good ways to hide the cable/wiring. I have an NZXT H7 Flow mid tower. I should have gone for compact ATX so as to have a small profile on my UpDesk.

Congrats, OP.
I built my computer in 2011. It is the only one I have ever built and will have to be replaced this year, I think. I'm still using Win 7 64 bit.

I'm an old guy, just barely able to follow the discussion. Sure was fun building it, though.

I figured out how to make the RAM LEDs pink on my motherboard. I used another app known as SignalRGB.

I still have and plan to keep using my Win 7 64 mid tower PC, and it sits on the floor. But certain software I wanted to use requires Win10+ so I decided to get a small form factor refurb Win10 PC and it lays horizontal on my desk right in front of me. Can't even hear it. Laying sideways I can lay the Win10 keyboard on top when using the Win7 keyboard. To switch between the two PC's I simply have to change the monitor input.

The Win10 PC is newer with better hardware specs: i7-6700 up to 4.0GHz, 16G DDR4. My win7 PC is a 2.6Ghz, 6G DDR3. The win10 PC is much faster!

I realized a long time ago I need at least two PC's anyway. For when one isn't working you have one to use to get online etc

Unfortunately, with my old PC it wouldn't fit in the box of my new case since it is deeper (likely due to requiring additional space for the optical drive). So, it looks like I will have to try to sell locally. If that fails, I will part it out.

I might try a variation of that since my old PC is still working.
Good idea!
