I think the Upper State Street distinction exists because there are a bunch of restaurants and such along that section, whereas the rest of East Rock is mainly residential.

12 stories, and supposed to be done in 2015. Which is vague, but that's all the articles say.

Also, the latest road closings update says "It is anticipated that Exit 2 off Route 34 Westbound will close by late spring." That's going to be such a mess. And not just temporarily, long term.

Edit: Well, I guess they are going to rework the Orange St intersection in the long term, so that might work out. But I don't know how they plan on sending all the traffic through Exit 1 (Orange St) and then working on that intersection at the same time.

Might I just say I was perfectly fine with the idea of New Haven falling into the sea as I was driving through the hospital area toward 95 Friday afternoon. But I had a wedding over at Light House point (first time there in a long time) and it was lovely over there. Saved.

Agree with the commenters on that page that the corner lot next to that building really needs something to be built.
