Sustained from 20-30mph. Gusts up to 50mph in isolated spots but generally 30-40mph gusts is my thinking. Nothing we can't handle.

Agree. Low pressure departing, Weak High pressure moving in. Partly cloudy skies, 20mph winds, and 60s midday

Gil Simmons was pushing the "extreme winds" buzzer this morning. Talking about getting ready for power outages.

From what I saw, the wind is due to the departing low on the cold front that's in the Gulf Of Maine, along with an incoming high which was over far northern Lake Michigan this morning.

As I await New Britain's third flood watch in over a week...we've had over 5 inches since Thursday night...right? (I'm in 06052).

Kind of strange weather here in Glastonbury today. Very windy and kind of cool. Plus about 1,700 customers are without power. Not sure why but they are putting up stop signs up and down Hebron Avenue which usually means they do not expect it back for a while. Jay

Yeah, that's the most amazing thing for me...Hartford highs predicted around 60 tomorrow...on the heels of only 59 last Friday! It's a good thing we're missing the heat bubble over the Midwest.

Well, this is just weird.

Still worried about another late season hurricane this year. Bad things happen in threes. :|

Any guesses on a warm up? Before July maybe? It seems so unseasonably cool, not that I am complaining as I hate the 90's, but I could certainly do without the rain.
