It's absolutely painful to get back to the 60s in late November. Worst fall of all time.

Center of 994mb Storm is now over NYC area.
http://www.spc.noaa.gov/sfctest/new/...r=19&parm=pmsl

Winds gusting to 40mph+ out there.

Temps are in the Spring 60s across the state, winter 30s to East of storm.

Watch for flooding, high winds, and snow showers later on. Temps crash after Lunch and we;'ll be in the 30s again by 7pm tonight and not getting out of the 20s and 30s for tomorrow!

Think of these 60s as a sugar high because we crash back down in a few hours.

There must be a huge temperature difference north and west of the high because all of CT (including Hartford and Danbury) are in the 60s (in fact Hartford at 63 seems to be the warmest temp I can find), but not-too-far-away Poughkeepsie and Newburgh, NY are only in the mid 40s. Wow!

How interesting is this huh.

Close up look at the temps. You have 60s on one side of the Low and 40s within 100 miles on the other side.

Man oh Man, that's how close it was. 200 miles more east and we would of never saw 50s or even 40s.

Very strange week.

I leave around 7:45 every morning. Noted to my significant other that yesterday it was twice as warm as the day prior. The whole "practically tropical" at 36 degrees.

Then today really does feel tropical, nearly twice as warm as yesterday. Went from 18 degrees Monday to 62 this morning. Don't even know what to really say to that.

The "rainstorm" should pass north of the Tri-State area later today....and the rest of the week should be cold but with bright sunny skies and dry weather. So easy travel from Thanksgiving Day right through Sunday. By late this weekend more moisture might work into the region....and more warm temps (upper 40's /low 50's F). So thankfully NO CHANCE of ANY snow right into the first week of December.

As far as the temps....yes warm today.....at least area one NWS station has cracked 60 F, not bad for an early moring temp a few days away from the start of December
