Through solid internal sources, I have heard the same leaving soon rumors.

My hunch is any move would not occur until covid runs it main course.

By time It does, we'll probably see a few more "restructuring" waves. So the final layoff will be smaller than expected if they move, and hopefully some would be retained by a new owner.

I wonder if YUM Brands could handle buying them. IMO, it would be a solid fit.

On a smaller note, Pier 1's closing means Ct loses its 8 stores, including one in Milford.

540 nationally. I'd assume several dozen employees per store.

Pretty sure it's Restaurant Brands. So maybe buy the rumor sell the news. It's a liability at much any price. Which is many Billions

Subway laid off 300 at the HQ in Feb plus the 100-150 just announced. How many people are left?

Back in February they had about 1,000 employees in Milford’s headquarters before any layoffs so they are now likely around 600 now. Jay

I wonder how many rounds of cuts at Subways are left, and, of course, I wonder how long we keep them.

I do think the chain needs a fresh start with a new ownership team.

he one thing Ct residents should be livid at, regarding Subway, is this is the 2nd mass firing w/o a WARN report filing.

I would like to see states enforce fines for that offense.

I am a firm believer in the soundness of this law, and its useful purpose.

There was a few smaller layoffs last year too I believe. Number remaining is less.
