Will the PM commute be compromised? Or will the worst of it be later than that?

edit: I realize the PM commute is bad even when it's cloudy and doing nothing else.

Agreed. And people need to learn to SLOW DOWN.

lol. I don't think so. It's going to be very lightly falling, roads should be able to melt it. I wonder if they will use the liquid deicer or salt. Depends what the road temp is. Should start after lunch. So someone might see snow for few hours straight.

From the 12z HRW-A model here's what it projects for Precip type 2pm to 9pm. You can see many areas start as snow then by 9pm all rain.

I tell ya, its addicting. Download the app called mPing & report the precip type where ever you are. It automatically picks up your location so it's convenient to report from anywhere with your phone... It helps NWS a lot.

And you can play the loop as well.

Are you kidding? They've been spraying the bridges for the past 2 years (at least) anytime the temps are near 32. Even when it's been dry for weeks. I'd love to know what this is costing us. They will spray the streets around here if there "may" be snow, not when it starts.

The best was when I was home working one afternoon last winter. It had just started to snow, and I heard a plow come down the street. I heard him because he dropped the plow for the entire length of the street. There wasn't any snow on the ground! I called the town to report it, and they said it must've been an accident. I'm sure it was a huge accident, because he got to the end of the street, turned around and "plowed" it in the other direction.

Hate the liquid and granular stuff, absolutely hate it. Wish they'd go back to something else.

Suppose I should be glad I didn't take my snows off today. I didn't realize it was going to snow tomorrow. <sigh>

Im not concerned about the snow at all. Im only concerned about the areas that see freezing rain.

Keep an eye on your temps. If it looks like rain falling and its 32 or lower, thats ice. And we all know a little ice can be road disaster.

I remember last year in december i95 was glazed with ice. It took 2 hrs to go 20 miles. Sick.

I know it's a ways out Cam, but what's the weekend outlook? Planning to take a few kids into NYC on a day trip, just wondering if we'll be able to enjoy walking around a bit!

Overcast with rain showers at times. Temps seasonable. Wont be too cold but looks like maybe wet.
