UConn's Hartford Campus May Extend to City's Public Library - Hartford Courant

Sounds like the more Uconn invests the better for Hartford.

I agree. When UConn realized that they could not afford to build a self-contained facility, they looked to many underused nearby facilities like the library and the Atheneum. Makes a lot of sense. Why build new when there are facilities nearby. That said, I just hope there is a plan for further expansion at some point. If UConn wants to grow downtown, there is not a lot of land around to do that. Jay

Good question - seeing as Hartford is facing a deficit of 32 million in the next fiscal year:

Hartford Faces $32 Million Budget Deficit | NBC Connecticut

Don't forget, Malloy and the legislature capped the vehicle tax for their voting block, I mean cities - so the rest of the state will be bailing out Hartford.
