From sun up to sun down... here's a loop I created that shows Bill spinning all day STILL looking like a Tropical system 1000 miles since landfall.

Does anyone remember when it made landfall in Texas? Seems like forever.

Now the Jet stream winds will take it to Long Island.

Ugh. I know many are having a BBQ today since tomm is a washout (me included). Showers already popping up in NJ and moving.

Drizzling in Pelham NY now. Moisture continuing to pop up in NJ. Cloud Base about 3000 feet here
Going to be scattered and light today

My God it feels awesome today. Like its Fall.

Light breeze. 60s. Cloudy. Dewpoints in 50s. Now drizzle.

Makes me forget there's a torching sun up there somewhere.

At a picnic now. Started raining in New Haven area around 2 and it's practically a washout now. Would love to see the radar history because at 1 it showed just clouds and now it's pouring.

2 BBQs today.. Didn't get a chance to save much but I was pissed here was absolutely no break from the rain. I used an umbrella to grill.

Hang on....

Here's yesterday's radar loop

I knew it. I use the MyRadar app and was watching closely. Saw nothing but clouds but what I saw outside was darker and gloomier. The out of nowhere the precipitation broke and just dumped on us in SW CT.

Add to this we had to dip around NH into West Haven to avoid an accident on 95, then again by the Milford Mall we got off to take back roads. Took an hour to get to Devon from Wallingford, not fun in the rain.

Turn on those ac's now. lol

Today: Happy Father’s Day! Heavy rain tapers off and dry weather comes in for the afternoon. An evening shower possible. Highs in the 80s with oppressive humidity!

THERE MAY BE SOME CLEARING BRIEFLY AS THE REMNANT LOW MOVES EAST. A WARM AND HUMID AIRMASS DOES REMAIN IN PLACE. WITH THE CLEARING...TEMPERATURES INLAND COULD APPROACH 90 DEGREES.

Yup... and after Tuesday chances of Upper 80s or 90° will diminish greatly.

I am loving this summer so far.
  • Over 4" of rain in last 3 weeks.
  • Less than 10 hours of sun in last 7 days
  • Only 5 days in the 80s
  • Dew points haven't been that bad yet
Here's Euro for BDL. If its right, starting next weekend it will be chilly for end of June. Only 50s/60s and a lot of rain chances still coming up

Awesome to walk outside and not get hit by hot bricks. Feels great to be in the 60s at lunchtime this time of year.... BUT................. Clouds are breaking up and there is clearing coming! Here comes the sun heating up the surface.

Lets see if clouds can rebuild around here as sometimes they do even with clearing coming.

Radar and Satellite to go with the Photos below.

This is Facing East towards Long Island. You can see it's still cloudy there. (Clouds moving West to East)

Facing North towards Danbury/Poughkeepsie..

Facing South towards NYC/NJ. You can see on the Satellite it's mostly clear that way.
