This is what the coldest start to June on record looks like at the CT coast(BDR). Records since 1948. Not even 68° yet.

So I can safely say I never experienced this weather first 5 days of June in my lifetime. Feels incredible.

Groton as well. Coldest first 5 days of June on record.

4 out of last 7 days has had rain.

Next time someone hypes the drought, tell them to be quite. In all my years here I have seen the region/area go from saying "We're so dry, we need rain!".... to.... "enough is enough, let it stop"

QPF forecast next 72 hrs. Theres been more clouds and rain then sun in the past week. Not that I'm complaining about that but enough is enough with the rain.

Just went through the Photo thread from Fall through Winter. I usually do in the summer. It's like driving down the seasonal road in Connecticut. Amazing. Came across 2 funny posts....Little did we know...

Funny how December I didn't have any photos to share... then all of a sudden starting January it was winter photo after winter photo.

Bridgeport, Boston, Islip and Bangor having the coldest start to June on record at their current locations. June 1-5 period.

And because of May it's not the coldest year on record anymore but still in Top 10 so far.

Skies finally cleared! WOW. Been like 5 days without a cloud in the sky? Great Radiational cooling night folks.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
723 PM EDT SAT JUN 6 2015

LOCAL SEABREEZES SHOULD BREAK DOWN SHORTLY AFTER SUNSET. SKY COVER WILL CONTINUE TO DIMINISH OVERNIGHT. UPDATED THE NEXT FEW HOURS OF THE FORECAST TO BRING THEM BACK IN LINE WITH OBSERVED TRENDS.

TONIGHT...HIGH PRESSURE IN CONTROL. LIGHT WINDS. CONDITIONS SHOULD BE FAIR TO CLEAR. RADIATIONAL COOLING SHOULD PROCEED ESPECIALLY OVER THE INTERIOR. MAY SEE A FEW COOL SPOTS WITH TEMPERATURES DROPPING BELOW THE 40-DEGREE MARK. WENT WITH A CONSENSUS OF MOS-GUIDANCE BUT DROPPED IT BY SEVERAL DEGREES FOCUSING ON THE AREAS WHICH CLIMATOLOGICALLY RADIATE OUT WELL.

I'm in CT tonight and I'm smelling smoke from people's chimneys! Cam, it feels very much like fall, and I'm enjoying the cooler air over humidity right now.

Was a great night to light a fire outside and enjoy a beer. Clear skies and as Cam said great radiational cooling. Low of 49 here.

Not a forecast just intuition. I think we are in for a much colder below normal summer. No complaints here as I love the cold.

I think I ran my ac twice so far this year...
