Guess what I did this morning.... A necessity in Connecticut in the warm seasons... Dehumidifier. I cleaned it inside out. Been a decade since. Like new again now and ready to Dehumidify the basement.

I have a hose which goes into a drain so I don't have to dump it all the time. Just stays on constantly until the room is dry.

I love mine. Makes a huge difference in the basement.

How would you like to be in the Mid Atlantic today?

Williamsburg, VA. Temp 93. Dewpoint 73. Clear skies. Feels like 103°F

I'll take my temps in the 70s, dewpoints in the 50s and run with it...

Highest Dew points of the year for many. 60s up to Montreal, 70s up to Southern NY.
South Wind in Southern NY. Bridgeport reporting an East wind.

NYC Dew point 71°F, feels like 89°. Air is tropical there. 62° here. Not as extreme...yet?

Looks like relief is coming Cam.. lol

Can't wait for the NNW winds to flush this humidity out.

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/... COLD FRONT WILL PASS ACROSS THE REGION EARLY THIS MORNING. ALL RAIN WITH THE FRONT HAS DISSIPATED AS EXPECTED...SO FCSTING A DRY DAY WITH LOWERING DEW POINT TEMPS DOWN INTO THE UPPER 50S THIS AFTERNOON. NNW WINDS...BUT COAST SEA BREEZES THIS AFTERNOON. MAX TEMP IN THE LOWER TO MID 80S - CONSISTENT WITH MOS.

I'm suspicious about yesterday on that graph, the bars show the high and low to be the same (72). I know BDR "only" got to 80 but they had a nice sea breeze going (I was working at a location in Stamford that is a block from the Sound and I felt it too). I do believe the high was lower than the day before (even Central Park was 88 instead of 89), but not in the 70s.......my guess is it was somewhere between 80 and 83.
