It will be interesting to see the effect that the Hartford and New Britain teams have on one another. These teams will be in close proximity to one another and basically share the same market.

I wonder if they can get some kind of rivalry going between the teams and play each other. Might be interesting to see and may actually be good for both teams. Jay

They are in entirely different leagues and at different levels. They will never play each other unless it was some sort of exhibition game.

It'll be nice I can actually go to a Bluefish road game next year.

Sad for Camden, I think Bridgeport had even worse attendance numbers then they did, and that was a really nice park there in Camden that looks like it'll be going to waste.

It looks like New Britain has some work to do on their existing stadium in these next three months or so. Meanwhile, this is happening over in Hartford:

Dunkin Donuts Park will not be ready by opening day. - Courant Community

Very likely that their ballpark won't open on time!

I like to see Spirit Stadium taken over for baseball. Ha that be 5 team's may be overkill in CT. Never knew CT Tiger's was a Minot League team.

They should of built the new stadium in Waterbury.

hopefully the stadium opens. that would be good for Hartford. Having a Hartford-Bridgeport baseball rivalry would be good

Hartford and Bridgeport are in different leagues. They would never play each other. The Bridgeport team does play against the New Britain team.

The one major downside is that I won't see the Trenton Thunder (AA-level Yankees) in Connecticut now. Since I refuse to go to Hartford's future park, it means me going down to Arm & Hammer Field in Trenton (been there 6 or 7 times) or up to Hadlock Field in Portland. Amazing that I have yet to see the AA-level version of the Yankees at Red Sox. I've done it at the AAA-level (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre @ Pawtucket in 2007).

They've got about 3 months to make some changes at New Britain Stadium. One minor change will be an expected expansion of their Third Base gift shop (unless that name changes).

Also, the Atlantic League season starts and ends roughly 2 weeks later than the Eastern League season does. How that will play out with parking if the New Britain Hurricanes are home next door for an early season football game (high school) remains to be seen.
