Not surprised. Connecticut has been winning over city folks for decades. From Mr. Blandings Building his Dreamhouse after WWII to Lucy and Ricky and now these folks, it’s hard to ignore our charm. Jay

There is not one thing about Connecticut that is negative, imo. Well, maybe the traffic on I-84, but that's true of any major interstate through a populated area.

I frequently hear the same thing from friends & family about my looking to move to CT, that it's so expensive. With the exception of the gold coast, I'm finding CT so far, to be more affordable than NYS & CO (only places I've lived in). The mill rate tax system has me thoroughly confused, though.

True, a few negatives that are workable. You can get around them.
95 rush isn't a picnic either, but it's expected, it's tri-state NYC metro. It sorely needs some form of upgrades though. There's always Wyoming if you can't handle major metro traffic.
Mother Nature was kind to CT. She really was. May have even went a little overboard. It's THAT beautiful. Humans took over from there. They may screwed up in some areas but overall a job to be commended. What a State!

Interesting article on the number of movies being filmed in our state today. For such a small state there appear to be quite a few. Jay

Hallmark filmed a movie (https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/a-royal-christmas) in Woodstock last year. Probably to make use of the private "castle" in town. But I haven't seen the movie.

I wonder if all of the streaming services and the recent affordability of production electronics have allowed crews to do more outside of Hollywood.
