Yeah Stamford is nice but I agree. It doesn't have much culture…very blah. They built a ton of new things but forgot to keep the new england feel/look. It's still a great city though...

Wow. Stamford is really tearing it up with development. If NYC does well then Stamford does well. Do you think eventually Stamford will hit bust? Or even turn into big proportions like Jersey City or Newark? Down the road i think Stamford will start to look like Jersey City. I'm not sure why though.

Update on some projects and changes on Hope St. All images are from Google Earth because I couldn't take photos of these places.

The building under construction in this spot of Springdale appears to be 60-70% complete.

This asian restaurant near Pappas Pizza in Glenbrook is expanding. The expansion looked to be 70-80% complete from the outside. I saw it quickly, so I may be off with the percentages.

This burger joint also in Glenbrook appears to have closed for good. Such a shame, because it seemed like a nicely designed business. I intended to visit this place, but I guess that will never happen.

It might plateau soon but I don't see it declining any time soon.

Where that burger place was, it is no surprise that it is gone so quickly. No matter what food place they put in there (it was pudgie's for quite some time) it doesn't stay long. That tiny spot can't hold business.

Default Jake's Wayback

If you're interested in eating at Jake's Wayback, there are additional locations, one in Norwalk, in the shopping plaza just to the north of the DMV. They make a wonderfully greasy, cheesy straight up american burger. You may also enjoy Bridge Street Weinery, as they have similar offerings, in addition to the selection of hot dogs, and the best 'tots I've ever had, hands down.

Now I can add that the bldg at the corner of Washington Blvd and Rippowam Pl is under demolition - in fact, the edifice portion at the SE corner of Relay Place and Main Street looks to be gone.

Today I noticed that. I think the whole thing will be down by the weekend. Are there any renders?

Yeah, Jake's is solid. Better than Five Guys IMO.
