it just took me 1/2 hour to wiggle my car out of the smow mountain that had attempted to consume it...
theres nowhere left to put more snow...im not tall enough to shovel anymore ontop of the already 6ft pile.

nope, no more snow allowed, not untill the snow wall surringing my home has melted!

FYI: 3 Ways for snow to melt naturally.

Temps:
Rain:
Evaporation:

Every day that hits 40 snow melts up to an inch a day.
Even if the temp is below freezing the snow will turn to vapor and about 1/10th will melt per day. Sunlight will speed up the process but not by much.

So with 20 inches total on the ground for me it would take 20 days of 40 degrees to melt it all without rain. And it would take 72 days of 40 degrees to melt my 6 foot piles. LOL

UPDATE JANUARY 19th STORM:

One model showing a coastal monster with 1.50 liquid. At this point if this verifys I really do hope its snow...That much rain will be devastating.

Wait for my cue Sunday when I'll have a better handle on things, if its going to be this much rain I'll be on the roof clearing everything and gutters, downspouts, and foundation snow with a path for water to travel to street.

I can relate to that. This morning I got up and checked the driveway to make sure it had not been plowed in. It was not so I went and took a shower. When I came down after getting dressed for work, guess what? there was about 3 feet of snow across my driveway. I had to shovel the whole thing so I could get out. I was not pleased. What gets me is why they waited until this morning to do this. Right before people are leaving for work. And what about people who are elderly or injured? They have to pay someone AGAIN to come back so they could get out of their driveway. Very frustrating. Jay
