Lets get through this one coming tomorrow first but just a heads up, models showing another one for the 15th-18th. Similar setup as this one. (maybe little weaker) We'll have to keep an eye out on that one.

Mixing should start in a couple hours (after 8pm) in southeastern CT, then all snow after 11pm. It looks like it sped up but it didn't. The precip is just more widespread.

The dew point is 14 so the air is not totally dry where it will evaporate. It should fall as it comes over us.

The Low is tracking close to the coast hence the higher totals for us (12"). if it comes within 100 miles of the coast, it will be sleet or rain. Right now it looks like its 150 miles off tomorrow..

Just Get Ready. Hope the City DOTs Are ready!

Norwalk, CT.

Not to feed this since I know it probably belongs in the new "CT weather" sticky, but everything I've read on the 15-18th storm says it's a weak Alberta Clipper that should "only" produce 1-3", probably late day President's Day into the evening.

There is a weather sticky created specifically for these weather discussions. That is the whole point of the sticky, so the board doesn't get bogged down with numerous weather threads.

So everyone knows, Snowman asked for permission to post a separate thread on this storm and I agreed. JayCT, Moderator

K where is the darn snow? I work for the governor and i still no word if state employees are being released early. Rumour is she had a meeting at 9 oclock to stagger release times of different agencies. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I'm sitting here in North Granby. The sun keeps popping in and out. It snowed for a few minutes and stopped twice.

Could this storm be a bust? The whole family is home. Cancelled work/school and my wife's company suggested she work from home.

The kids are chomping at the bit awaiting some snow to go sledding. Perhaps it will hit late and move into tomorrow.
