This all started in the 90s, or even earlier. It's not new. We've moved from Edward R. Morrow to Walter Cronkite to Dan Rather to .... I left the US....and returned to see young and old babelicious types with JD's screaming at each other over the injustice of not sending a 4-year old felon to the gas chamber. Al Jazeera is next.

What a mess...CNN was my only alternative to Fox madness. So sorry you have gone away as a news station and run off with the money to "Reality" TV and other programing that has nothing to do with keeping up with global news. What in the H-E-L-L happened to you??? You have totally lost credibility. Bye-bye.
Mrb a lost viewer

ROTF! The only thing richer than the above statement is having considered CNN an unbiased "news" source during any period of time after their initial launch.

P.S. For real "madness," consider these two words: Ashley Banfield

P.P.S. There's always MSNBC.

Actually, you will learn much more about the world watching Anthony's shows than you ever will watching the "news". If all you see is traveling and tasting food, you aren't paying attention.

The best TV news is radio.

Have to agree with most everyone on here - CNN used to be my go-to station for all the world news, something I really enjoyed. I felt they had great quality reporters and journalists. Used to love Dana Bash, I thought Paula Zahn was wonderful, and of course I still love Anderson Cooper. But I seldom turn to CNN and can't believe how they've decimated such a quality network into a cheap entertainment channel. Very sad and a terrible decision on the part of the new CEO. MSNBC is now my station of choice, but it's mainly political. There are plenty of other stations offering the mindless drivel of reality tv cooking shows, house-swapping, and bitchy housewives for the consumption of the ever-growing "lowest common denominator" population. I think I could actually live without a TV if it weren't for "Game of Thrones"!!

lol. Mindless drivel: MSNBC. They wrote the book on mindless drivel. It's the equivalent of reading blogs written by people in asylums.

I no longer have cable. Rarely do I miss it. Most cable so-called news channels don't have enough real news to fill the day.

A better question is what happened to cable tv. I'm old enough to remember when cable was a premium product. Granted, it was never targeted at the super elite, but at the aspirational professional folks. Along came the internet, and staring at the tv was no longer so appealing for the curious set, and so, today, cable os marketed at a more downscale audience, and that is reflected in content, with a few exceptions.

Wasn't really a CNN fan before the changes, but I've noticed they have moved in the TMZ direction.
