What people grow up? The bottom line is breastfeeding in public bothers a lot of people and the only ones that think this is okay except for moms that are breastfeeding. Knowing it gets under peoples skin, do the right thing and don't flaunt it trying to prove a point.
I breastfed my babies in public sometimes. I didn't flaunt it and probably nobody even noticed. It wouldn't even cross my mind to think that someone would be bothered by a mother feeding her hungry baby. I think it's so odd that feeding one's baby would get under someone's skin.

I think you meant to say "the only ones that think this is okay ARE moms that are breastfeeding." If that's the case, I completely disagree. There are PLENTY of people who are not and have not been breastfeeding mothers who think that it's perfectly acceptable.
No, that isn't life. I breastfed my son and I certainly don't want to see anyone else doing it in public on a plane or a bus.
I used my pump if I knew I was going to be in public for longer periods of time or if I had to breastfeed him, I went to a private place where no one could see me.
The voice of reason. People need to accept that they can't force someone else to be comfortable with nudity. Polite society has found a way to deal with this for centuries, why is it suddenly a thing that everyone has to whip their boob out at a moments notice? Whats so hard about carrying around a bottle?
Who cares if its natural? So is peeing, pooping and making love. So is picking your nose, even. Sorry, but natural does not equal OK for public.

I suggest you do the right thing and stop learing at a baby nursing and do not pervert it. And that is the problem here. Other people's perversion. Never in my life have I seen a mother flaunt a breast. The vast majority are busy tending to their babies as a mother should.

But then why is a man's nipple exposed on the beach or as he mows his lawn no reason to clutch your pearls, but a woman's breast discreetly doing what it is intended to do disgusting and shameful?

That you compare a baby nursing to taking a crap is telling. Sorry folks, this one is your problem.
[quote=JC84;35648382]Also, WHY can't a woman use a bottle instead of a breast while out in public?[/QUO
Many breastfed baby's refuse the bottle. My two would have nothing to do with a bottle until they were older.
And maybe some women don't want to use a bottle. It's up to mom and baby to decide what's best for them.
Fine, making love then. It's beautiful, but best done in private.
If you stop sexualizing nursing, making it a filthy thing like defication, or making it anything more/less than what it is (a mother feeding her child), you would be better off. If you eat in public then you have no right to tell a baby not to.
