Peronally I am now vegetarian and into health foods and they offer nothing for me to eat but a small salad or maybe some tea. I grew up with them as a child and used to love them so they still have a place in my heart and I was wondering what others thought?

I like that they offer internet, and offering a place for parents to take the kids where they can play is a good business idea too, but I think the food is overpriced for what you get. The places open 24 hours are also a good idea for people who work odd hours.

I do not think they should try to compete with upscale fast food places like Panera Bread but they can offer some healthier options their food is unhealthy and fattening, I like their idea of hormone free chicken, but I think they should just offer more food for your money. I think they are overpriced for what you get. More dollar menu options would be nice.

McDonald
Well it's no fun anymore. Their commercials with Ronald McDonald and the gang, their cartoon tv commercials are also of the past. Now it's just brown neutral colors with coffee advertised everywhere you look. No fun any more. So they really don't distinguish themselves out as they used to. Also their coke is messed with, the syrup. There is barely any consistency but that is rampid among fast food chains in general

I think this goes towards their problem; the franchisees make their margins on the pricier items, which have been getting squeezed by above from fast-casual and better burger places and from below by the dollar menu. To alleviate the latter they raised prices on the cheapest items, but a lot of people rather than trading up just stopped showing up.

Over the years, the quality of their food and their portion sizes have gone down, while their prices have become excessively high.

That, and they had the audacity to operate as a large corporation and turn a profit in modern-day America.

Everytime I eat at McDonald's, for the next two hours I feel greasy, sluggish and listless, like I have put something very healthy into my body. Personally, I think it's a combination of the high fat content and the high sodium content including the worst offender of all, MSG.

In my opinion, McDonald's really needs to develop a healthier menu. Just because a food is healthy doesn't mean it can't be tasty.

I doubt it has very little to do with people making "healthy" choices. Rather McDonalds food is just crap. There are now a whole lot better places with better choices for the same or less money. Even my kids quite asking for McDonalds by the time they were seven.

First, McDonald's has overextended its menu beyond burgers and fries.

Second, McDonald's Playplace is being phased out, or specifically external playgrounds. Expenses for maintenance them and their liability have increased. It is cheaper to replace them with outdoor seating.

Third, one and one-half drive through lanes is not wise planning. What was to be a second drive through lane has an order station, but no pick up window.

Fourth and lastly. there are other options than McDonald's.

The world is just so saturated with McDonalds restaurants. Did McDonald's believe it would always have infinite growth? I find it funny today that a company can profit billions of dollars but if sales are down 3% the sky is falling and the business is failing. Subway was smart and stayed a private company.

Chipotle, Qdoba, Panera will all have their day in stock market court when 3 other hip, fresh, sustainable, organic, eviro companies are eating their lunch. Variety is spice of life. I read an article about German car manufacturers and that they could not understand why Americans were not loyal to their brand. There is no such thing as brand loyalty anymore in America, and why should there be?

I will say, I'd rather eat Mcdonalds for 7 days straight than eat one time at Taco Bell or Sonic.

An egg McMuffin with hashbrowns is one of my ultimate guilty pleasures - I still remember coming across a McDonalds in Mexico after spending months in a more rural area and I almost had tears of joy with my hashbrown. :P

But for lunch or dinner? A small fry is 230 calories (a large is a whopping 500!) and they're not great. The burgers are disgusting when for a dollar or two more, you can get fresher food at a quick casual restaurant like Five Guys or Chipotle.

Good riddance! McDonalds is gross, plain and simple. It always has been. If they ever go out of business entirely it will be one of the happiest days of my life.
