Just in case folks forgot or have gotten confused by all the Taitzian legal maneuvers of our favorite county clerk. She appealed Judge Bunnings ruling that she could not avoid granting licenses to same sex couple by refusing to issue any. Last week the Court of Appeals rejected here motion sending it back to Judge Bunning, today Bunning rejected here motion. I have to guess that Davis has had to deal with a lot of rejection in life so this string of rejections are nothing new.

I got no problem with this woman adhering to her religious beliefs in not wanting her name on SSM certificates but if her job is to give marriage licenses to SS couples and she refuses to do it wouldnt the more prudent course of action be for her to step down from the position saying the job conflicts with her religious principles rather than continuing on not doing her job but still collecting a paycheck at tax payers expense.

I think this is a big part of it, as well as some well heeled bigots who are not so quietly backing her.
Agree, that the best thing she could do is step down since the job interferes with her principles.
She's an attention w**** and I imagine she'll squeeze every last drop of attention that she can from this thing. It will be interesting to see what happens to her at election time.
Rowan County Deputy Clerk Brian Mason (and probably the next County Clerk) throws Kim Davis under the buses!
Filed in Federal Court on last Friday:
Mr. Mason informs me and the record confirms such, that he has issued the
appropriate marriage licenses for same-sex marriage pursuant to the court's orders, and
has continued to do so in light of changes that had been made by the Clerk, Ms. Davis.
He is the only deputy clerk that is doing so by mutual agreement between the others
wherein Mr. Mason agreed he would take care of those matters himself if it would ease
the stress of the situation, although they all stand ready to do so in his absence as they
had promised the court.
Kentucky clerk Kim Davis on Wednesday night explained to Fox News’ Megyn Kelly why she has still refused to resign despite numerous failed attempts to receive an accommodation for her religious beliefs.
“If I resign I lose my voice,” Davis said. “Why should I have to quit a job that I love, that I’m good at?”
So she's openly admitting that she's using her job - for which she's being paid 80k a year in a county with a median income of 35k a year to issue marriage licenses, which she is refusing to do - as a platform to espouse her religious beliefs.
Yep, she is the specialest self-absorbed snowflake of all...
Oh, poor, poor Kim. She's right, and the rest of the world is wrong. I suppose, in her mind, all the Christians who have no problem with SS marriage are going straight to hell. I don't know what's more pathetic... her bigotry or her ignorance?
