Yes. Even Regular grocery stores like Safeway have good organic produce, grass fed beef, etc.

I would have loved to been a fly on the wall during their merger meetings. I assume Amazon has some big (secret) plans to what they will do with their newly acquired company. I think within a couple of years, the name Whole Foods will cease to exist and will become sort of interation of "Amazon Food Market" or something to that effect.

UH, it's no secret...
They're in competition with the BIG BOX stores (i.e. Wally-Martski), for your trade.
Due to brainless panic and reactionary short-sightedness at W-M, Amazon is gaining market share at a phenomenal rate. Their one weakness - groceries - is lessened by acquisition of WHOLE FOODS.

W-M is committing suicide, cutting personnel budgets, reducing employee hours, driving away customers with underwhelming lack of service - while thinking that their bottom line is good enough for bonuses and stock options. But the writing is on the wall - or WAL. Their days are numbered. Amazon will supersede them in less than a decade. That's why the stock market reacted to the news as it did.

I used to love Amazon. Now it's trying to be all things to all people. But, their customer service just keeps getting worse, they nickel and dime you to death if you are Prime member - by having extra costs for movies you actually want to see, etc. Everything is an add-on now, it seems.

And to make up for their "free" Prime shipping, their prices are way more than Walmart's. I now shop Walmart for almost everything - at least I price check everything.

Amazon just used to seem to be honest, up-front, transparent. Now, they're just turning into a big, greedy corporate giant - which they used to be the opposite of.

I'm not interested, at all, in also buying groceries from them. But, maybe WF shoppers are their ideal market - people who buy into "prestige" hype and don't realize or care if they're getting ripped off.

I find organic stuff for way less money in other stores.

Even good food is adulterated...
Case in point : fish and meats have WATER ADDED. I ran some tests and found that 22% - 35% - 54% of the gross weight is added water.
A good illustration is frying their ground beef. With a pan rocket hot, the initial sear ceases as a pool of water accumulates in the pan, requiring boil off before frying can continue.
Via Sous-Vide, I measured the amount of water that was incorporated in frozen fish fillets and meats... would you believe 54% water?!

Bezos doesn't get my money. I don't use Amazon for anything, I wouldn't read the Washington Post and I've never shopped at Whole Foods.

So after becoming an American, u got lazy. haha

but you don't get to choose the freshest produce. Plus these
company would probably be pushing the products are about to expire and seeing how lazy they know you are, they know most would be too lazy to drive to the store and demand something that isn't going to expire the next day.

Sadly, yes.

Although, I can see where it would be good for the elderly or disabled.
