He really does not appear to be very bright. Does he actually believe this will be a defense? The DA will shoot holes through that in minutes.

The very fact that he thought he could get away with these murders shows him to be extremely stupid. He would have been better going for insanity than this nonsense about avenging his kids' deaths that he saw on a baby monitor.

I dunno, like I mentioned earlier, there have been very high profile stories lately, more than one, of a parent killing their child or children as revenge for the spouse leaving. A good lawyer might be able to run with that one. Especially if he lucks out with his jury and gets one like that Anthony woman's jury.

Casey Anthony case was ruined by the prosecutors who should have gone for a lesser charge. They charged her with pre-meditated murder, and there just wasn't concrete proof of that. So even if the jury believed she killed her daughter in the process of trying to make her sleep while she partied, the jury could not have found her guilty of what she was charged with if there was any doubt at all that she planned to kill her.

People seem to think juries should do what's right in their minds instead of what the law says. If they had charged her with a lesser murder charge she'd have been found guilty.

I can't imagine how his wife's family must feel. To not only lose your daughter so horrifically but to have her slandered in such a way after her death, to state that she murdered her own daughters, by the monster that actually killed all of them all.
I do worry that he will get off because he is handsome and juries tend to not want to punish good looking people for whatever reason. I'm sure his defense team will have him looking great for this trial. His biggest weakness will be his stupidity and arrogance and I'm hoping he goes on the stand so that can be shown to everyone.

His high school teacher said he was very good in school and his wife on one of her Facebook videos said that he sailed through school without having to study much. She said he could read something once and quickly memorize it.

I think in the Denver Dad's case it was more lack of empathy and conscience than anything else. I wondered if he could be on the Asperger's Spectrum but I can't recall a case of someone with that condition who also had psychopathic traits.
