What a cruel and horrendous thing to do. I'm SO glad she was caught on video and that the homeless man just happened to hear them and took them to safety.
They have removed her other (30!!!) dogs from her home. This makes me wonder how many other litters she's discarded to die and wasn't caught.
I hope they throw her ass in jail and that she can't own even a goldfish after this despicable act.
I'm so glad those puppies were found. What a horrible way to die. How does someone do that to little defenseless animals? They feel pain and panic just like we do. I have no doubt she's done this before.
Release the marijuana users from our jails and fill them with people like her.
Reminds me of my first few days with Kara and Dirk. We met, I spent the weekend home with them, and then on Monday, took them to see the family doctor. They cried so much, they were so scared, to me, it sounded like "I thought we had a home! We are being taken back!"
It wasn't like that, of course, but that was a particular harsh drive on me, just like anytime I have to take Melas, an adopted caught and released stray, anyplace in the car. She cries, too, and I think it is because that was the way she was abandoned.
What kind of person could drive with such cries in their car?
TinyKittens.org, a wonderful rescue group in British Columbia, is presently caring for (among other cats and kittens) a litter of five beautiful, playful, approximately six week old kittens, who were found in the rain, by a dumpster, in a closed cardboard box a couple of weeks ago. The perp has not been found.
These kitties will be up for adoption by carefully checked individuals soon. Look for the "flower kittens" on YouTube for streaming video.
Tiny Kittens is being rather overwhelmed with, well, tiny kittens right now, as they are also caring for an additional three or four litters born to mamas brought in for the occasion from a feral colony this great organization looks after. You can watch streaming video of two of these mamas and their litters on YouTube as well.
Mamas will likely return to their colony, where they receive daily visits and food and have shelter, after being spayed and given any needed medical care, unless they decide to turn in their feral cards and realize people aren't going to eat them, in which case they will be adoptable. Babies are being handled and will later be played with and cuddled so that they will not have their mothers' fear, and can be adopted when old enough, after being spayed and neutered and given initial vaccinations.
How people can be so thoughtlessly cruel as to abandon tiny puppies or kittens - or any domestic animal, for that matter - is beyond me...
Let's not attribute this to her education or lack of. I've known plenty of people with university degrees that didn't have an ounce of common sense nor gave a crap about animals.
Yes, I agree with you.
