Yes, "Being Seen" is the job description of a modern British Royal.

They can always quit, but since most of them are thought to be a little dim, what could they do?

Are you speaking specifically of the working Royals? Meaning as working in the role of their position in the Royal family?

Many of the Royal family have conventional jobs. The children of Princess Anne (whose husband was a high ranking naval officer before his retirement) the daughters of Prince Andrew and many of so called non-working Royals have conventional jobs.

I cannot understand why people in other countries like to rubbish the Royal family. Why not throw such comments at some of your own celebrities or politicians. Though I suppose you do!

But that's not quite the same thing as living in a fishbowl 24/7.

I agree. I felt the same about Diana and the whole wedding thing and adoration of her.

BREAKING NEWS:

Kate's just fine. Photographed out and about with William looking buoyant and happy. What a relief.

If you look at the photo of Kate and William walking from the market, it is not Kate. Look at the face. So obviously not Kate.

Oh no. How long do you think they're going to be able to keep up the charade? Where do you suppose they've got the real Princess Catherine stashed?

I don't follow the royals but it occurs to me that maybe Kate had a ruptured appendix. That would be abdominal surgery and is quite serious and would take months to fully recover. That's my story and I'm sticking with it!

If it is true that she's gone through major abdominal surgery, it's VERY likely that she's lost a lot of weight and doesn't look like herself. Especially in a grainy photo.

That was Kate & William. What a mess the palace has made out of this. They should have understood the press would go crazy over the situation.
