In fact smart Asians and Indians are so common that they have to perform twice as good a white kid and many many times better than an AA kid for top college admissions. Colleges don't want to fill up their classes with one race, they want diversity on their campuses.

Typically Asian/Indians are good in academics and do hard work due to personal inclination/family influence. They are not as involved into ball sports due to family influence. Their parents help them practice for spelling bee and math quiz or science bowl same way white or AA parents help their kids practice for tournaments and tryouts and cheer/dance competitions.

As long as calling a party Christmas or Winter or Funfrst, it just matters to parents, kids don't care. They want to have fun with their friends regardless of their backgrounds. Minority students do feel left out too so schools try to make it all inclusive, which hurts bigot folks.

I think it's about time Americans beat India and China and Norway in math and science and technology and new Americans with high IQ and good work ethics are the best people to get competitive/creative juices going on among rest of the Americans. We can't keep our edge in world with every kid dreaming of playing football, act in Hollywood or dance with JZ.

Stereotype much?

In a perfect world everyone would just get along. I do not believe that is reality though. I do not believe Asian Kids outperform anyone else. Plenty of smart white, black and latino kids out there.

The problem is the whole district encourages the the stereotypes. Texas districts get a lot scrutiny on how money is spent by ethnicity. You do not have to be fair just show everyone is participating.

All one has to do is look at the new Stadiums that high schools play in around here. The Star Center being built has really changed the dynamics of FISD. The fact is Football is very important to the district. To cater to the growing asian population they make sure Asians are placed on UIL academic teams. It just a fact of how things work.

I see how groups are being sponsored by school and is actually a very Texas thing to do. Frisco has resisted this model for years but now is falling victim.

Football is a high priority in fact this is the biggest priority here.

Cheerleading is a big activity girls who do not make cheerleaders should do drill team.

Band is for everyone else.

In other areas they push academic competitions and such but because you will see limited enrollment from asian you will see a push by the district here to get them to enroll for demographic reason. ( Last thing you want is these kids on your football team).

At the end of the day if your kids are interested in other things or not picked to be on the debate team they end up as outcasts.

This is a general problem with Texas schools but it a little more an issue in Frisco/Plano.

We don't know if Frisco schools are putting Indian American kids on football teams to upgrade their parents or new generations are genuinely interested in an All American sport and doing well?

Instead of picking fights with each other, all Americans, native, new immigrants, old immigrants and ones who don't like labels, all of us should pitch in our unique strengths to make this country a safer, prosperous and tolerant place or we will not remain as a place people dreamt of immigrating to. Our kids are way more tolerant and open minded about diffrences as they are growing up in diverse communities, if they stay in white or brown or black or other enclaves then they'll never understand the importance of putting our diffrences aside to work as a team for common good.

This is exactly why 700 employees/families are not relocating to Plano with Toyota and now Toyota has offered its Kentucky plant relocation packages to fill the 700 vacancies. The Asian/Indians know they are not wanted and that CA offers a much better quality of life for their family, especially their kids.

However those in medicine will continue to come to Plano, Frisco,Collin county because it is beneficial because of how big medicine is here. It's all about priorities and what one thinks is the best recourse for them and it's exactly why kids that are more focused on education are often bullied because you have parents that are more concerned with their kid making varsity than their kid getting As. You also can't blame anyone for wanting to their child's focus on academics and not sports.

Just like that whole pathetic dibockle that happened at Baylor. They allowed boys to rape girls on campus just because they were star football players and there a lot of people who support the school protecting the boys and actually think it's unjust that the coach was fired. With the way a lot of sports organizations are run, who can blame any parent for not having any interest in involving their kids in sports. The same goes for cheerleading as well, a whole lot of bullying and backstabbing going on with the mothers being front and center and involved in the drama. I agree everyone should be open to other culture preferences but the shaming is where the problem comes in and kids are a reflection of their parents and their households. Prejudice, racism, ect. is taught and learned behavior.

Diversity is one thing but being accepting and tolerant to diversity is totally different. While yes DFW continues to grow in diversity, if acceptance isn't growing with it there's really no diversity at all and that's what a lot of Dallas folk fail to realize. Having AA, Latinos, etc. doesn't make you diverse when if you had your way you would move them all out in preference to only being amongst other Whites. That's exactly why Dallas can't shake being a racist place because no matter how hard you try, the bigitry always reveals itself just like it has in this thread. Also Texas practically singlehanded putTrump in office proves that Texas is and always will be the same ol Texas.

Now you see how most non-white people usually feel and what they sacrifice when they move up socioeconomically and the neighborhoods that they move to and the schools that they enroll their children in are predominately white/WASP.

As per normal you are completely misrepresenting the dynamics at Toyota. In broad terms Toyota is not offering ex-California jobs to employees from Kentucky. Toyota's Northern Kentucky employees are mostly in engineering and manufacturing sciences. Torrance is mostly marketing and finance. All those functions and more will now be in Plano.

The proportion of Toyota employees relo'ing to Plano is well above similar moves made by other companies. So essentially all of your negative implications regrind the Toyota move are made up in your head.

And for the record TX supplied a little over 10% of Trump's electoral votes.
