You're going to get three months worth of rain in one week, and then it won’t rain for three months!

Oh. My. Gosh. The incessant rain yesterday...it was so tiresome. And here, it rained pretty hard all day too. We got 4.5 MORE inches on top of three the other day and 5.5 the day of torrential rain (got all that in an hour). So that's a total so far this month of at least 13 inches and more is in the forecast.

Our temps have been consistently lower than forecast as well. Yesterday we were out and about running some errands, even though it was raining, because we had cabin fever. I had to come back home at mid day and change into warmer clothes because I was tired of running around wet and cold!

Wow, we didn’t get nearly that much rain in Dallas.

I’m glad the soil now has a chance to dry out from all the rain. There’s been reports of trees toppling over, due to the very saturated soil.

Apparently parts of Dallas got over 12 inches so far this month, most of which was over the past week. In addition to this page, I also saw those figures on the news day before yesterday.

I guess totals vary widely because just ten miles away from me, in Tyler, TX, they got about 8 inches of rain total while we got 13. That's crazy!

And yes, we've had trees toppling too, due to the saturated soil. Hopefully it will dry out over the next week or ten days - we've only got a chance of rain for two days out of the next ten, with lots of sunshine and fabulous temperatures the rest of the days. Keeping my fingers crossed!

The 10 day forecast looks amazing. Just some rain on Wednesday but other than that all good!
