My dad swears by Mosquito Squad but I thought I would try a few Lowes products first but that hasn't really helped too much. I'm going to shell out the cash and call in MS next summer, and hopefully that will do the trick.
We use Mosquito Authority and even though we live in NE Texas, and right across from a creek, we haven't seen a mosquito in our yard for four years. Prior to hiring them to treat our yard every three weeks, we couldn't even enjoy our patio because we were constantly being bitten.

Mosquitoes from other yards apparently don't cross the boundary - LOL. They stop their treatments from the first freeze till about March or April.

This morning, the temps here were in the low 50s - I love it!

Maybe we will try them next year. I wonder if they use different "stuff" than Mosquito Squad?

Hooray! I had no idea my electric bill would be so high here in TX. It has been in the mid $400 range and we were worried something was wrong with the house or AC but the electric co. said that's normal in TX with the hot temps we have had through Aug-early Sept. Some our guests were cranking up the AC and said they can't sleep unless it is freezing so that didn't help. I'm looking forward to hopefully getting that sucker down into the $200's! We have our windows open tonight. My husband is still convinced something is amiss and he's calling the electric co tomorrow to figure out what is going on with these high electric bills.

How much is it per year? I took a pass on Mosquito Squad because they wanted to charge me $600 from August through October versus prorating it...it was for the whole season.

I have no idea but all I can tell you is they really work for our yard. Good luck!

It's not cheap - about $70 every three weeks throughout the season. Since we gave them our CC number, we got the yearly "deal" just broken down to billed every three weeks. We just paid in full last year and it was also around $600 or so. I don't recall the exact figure but that's close.

Worth EVERY STINKING PENNY too. I have talked with friends who treat their own yard and it doesn't seem as effective and it's still pretty expensive.

I'll give them a call next spring--seems a bit cheaper too! Thanks!
