Look, people. Just go to one of the millions of Houston vs. Dallas threads on this forum if you want to argue about which city is better.

For the last time, I was just pointing out all of the events (and the music) that has put Houston in the national spotlight recently.
I SAID NOTHING ABOUT DALLAS OR DFW. Not at all.....
Dude, you mentioned that you were from Fort Worth, you must stand up for your area.

....that's just it.
No one said anything bad about the area until someone just assumed that I was and commented on it.

Besides, it's not Houston vs. DFW.... it's Houston vs. Dallas.
Last time I checked, there was no real beef between Fort Worth and Houston.

Seriously? Whens the last time you've heard about a big fight between Houston and Fort Worth?

I can't speak for everyone but i know some Dallasites tend to think that Dallas owns the entire DFW area. I think that’s what draws fights between Hou/Dal. The Dallas/Fort Worth is an entire region and some Dallasites act like every part of that region is Dallas. It’s a region that contains two major cities. That’s one of the reasons why there’s so much hostility between Dallas and Houston. Houston is clearly the largest city in Texas but Dallas can only be bigger by undermining its next door neighbor and counting it like its just a suburb. It seems like its constantly trying to outdo Houston.

The whole sports thing as far as Dallas having the most sports franchises is meaningless. Houston just landed soccer in 2005 and is about break ground on the new complex. Who's to say Houston won't egt a NHL team in the future? No one saw the soccer team coming. Dallas may have 1 more sports franchise than Houston but Houston is home to 2 more (soon to be 3) more sports complexes than Dallas. So it all goes hand in hand.

But all in all, it's all in good fun. I'm happy for Dallas/Ft. Worth. The entire metro region has shown strong growth and is definitely pulling its weight. Houston and Dallas will continue to lead the state bringing further prosperity to Texas.

Here's the thing as a Fort Worth native I stick up for DFW including Dallas for the most part. When people disrespect Dallas I will defend it to the fullest. Does Dallas defend Fort Worth??? Nope.

Well give us about 10- 20 years we will have Dallas undivided attention when Fort Worth and Tarrant County is completely field in. Fort Worth is a sleeping giant waiting to ignite.
