Firewheel is a good location. Its right off the GB Turnpike. I live in the area, it takes me less than 30 minutes to get to a lot of places, Ikea in Frisco, 35 and the turnpike, close to downtown (non rush hour of course).

some of the comments about Firewheel being "in the middle of nowhere" and odd location are just weird. Many of the greatest foodie places are in odd locations. People will get to good food. And if its good, I will eat it. Definitely gonna give it a try next month at my brother's wedding. Will report back.

In-N-Out Burger to open restaurants in Texas - Fast Food Maven : The Orange County Register

The last in n out burger I ate at in CA when we moved was in the middle of friggin no where Thousand Palms. Thousand Palms, California - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Most In n Outs are also right off the freeway and easy spot and easy to get to. I'm no longer going to defend myself as a Californian transplanted to TX and may as well be an illegal in AZ blah blah blah. I can comment in these threads as someone who has eaten in n out for 27 years. The article I posted above has a link to another article with some of their burger making practices, meat supply chain etc...

I think Firewheel is a decent location for their first. It's right off the freeway, the sign will be easy to spot, and there are a lot of people who go shopping over there.

Wingfields is in Dallas and its not in the middle of nowhere...why do people get so offended about being out in the middle of nowhere really its ok folks...firewheel is cool look people thought vegas was in the middle of nowhere when it first started...right now firewheel still qualifies as BFE! maybe not to GarLAAAAnd but to the rest of of civilization its BFE!!

BUT

Whether or not its in Downtown Dallas, GarLLAAAND RV park or Las Colinas Canal it still is no better than mcdonalds, burger king or jack in the crack!

that was hilarious

I'm not a Californian but I have to say IN & Out is the best fast food restaurant I have tried so far. Five guys is too greasy. I hope they opened one in Dallas

Ditto re: the burger (yummy) and fries (not so much).

In terms of fresh french fries made from fresh potatoes in store, I'll take mooyah, but no salt though because they ridiculously oversalt their fries.
