Thanks for asking, Camper. I'm home from my daughter's place right now but will be going back next month. Lulu loves it there but she must be insecure about my leaving her because she sticks like glue to me there -- and it's even carried over into her behavior at home. She was always a little independent (female dobermans are often more independent than males, which is one reason I usually prefer male dobermans) but she's been much less so since we started going up there.
Flamingo, from what I remember, cherry eye looks terrible but is usually not painful. I think the third eyelid can get infected and that might be painful but most cases are not. As I said previously, cherry eye can resolve on its own with the help of eyedrops but it often recurs, so Camper is wise to have the surgery.
That is mighty toasty!!! I am so thrilled that it's actually pleasant here and will be for the next couple days - There is a nice breeze, no humidity.... loving it. Hang in there Ketabcha.
I dont know what the official airport temp is here but my window thermometer says 104. No breeze, no cooling rain predicted for the next couple of weeks, no nuttin. It seems to get hotter and drier every summer.
Why does Lulu enjoy sleeping in the bushes so much in this overbearing heat? Sometimes I have to make her come inside because I'm worried about heatstroke even if she's just resting.
Had a great time at the river this weekend for my Birthday trip but boy was it hot!! Spent a tad more time inside this time with the ac blasting but I don't care . That's why we have what we have. The camp ground was packed full of kiddos in tents. I don't think I could ever do that again. I turned 64 today and those days are way gone for me. I'm loving the " motorhome" phase of life....
Baxter is doing fine, doesn't seem to be in any pain. I'm almost out of drops and it doesn't look any better. Glad I take him in Thursday. Hope the recovery is quick. He's such a happy little guy.
My arm still is not worth a crap!! It's so frustrating to not be able to reach stuff. I'm not giving up though. I have come a long way but just have to get over this hill.
Time to go unpack. Just wanted to run in and say Hi to everyone.
