That puts your net household income at a little over more than double the median household income of Denver, which is around $63,000, or about $3400/mo.

Isn't the median income of $63,000 gross?

Which makes it one of the things I don't hate most about Denver.

I lived in Castle Rock and Parker for 8 years.

Although I loved living there and do miss it (Castle Rock has a special place in my heart), I just couldn't stand the arid dryness and how brown it was in the summer and fall. It almost never rained and the summers were scorchers... Coming from England and having family in the Pacific Northwest, I'm used to green. There is very little green in Denver unless you start to drive into the mountains. The brown and the lack of rain finally sent me packing. I don't think I could live in a desert state again.

Last summer was the exception. We had a lot of moisture and it was green most of the summer months. I hope it does that again this year but I am not optimistic.
