Is there anywhere where I can find a good chicago style (thick crust or thin) pizza here in the Denver area? I tried searching for pizza in this forum but I was VERY dissapointed to find that people were recommending Obilos in S. Park Hill. That pizza is literally the WORST pizza I've ever tasted.

What would be nice is to find a real Chicagoan that can recommend a good place

Before you say it... I'm not interested in Old Chicago or Protos.

PS. I just asked a guy I work with about good pizza (chicago style) or any kind and he said... wait for it.... Old Chicago or PIZZA HUT. C'mon

I'm from Chicago.

And sorry to say, chicago style doesn't exist here.

My favorite though is Enzo's End but its more NY style than anything else.

The Art of Pizza for best deep dish, EVER. Not a chain, over by Belmont and Ashland.

Second would be Lou Malnati's then Geno's East.

Not a huge fan of thin crust.

There is a chain in Boulder and Aurora called BJ's Pizza and Brewhouse, originated in CA and they are very good. There is one off of 225 and Alameda.

I was in Chicago last year and they took us out for real "Chicago style" pizza and I could barely choke it down! The crust was think and corn-based, sort of like cornbread. I don't know if that's typical or not, but I didn't like it.

Deepdish is not my fave, either. My favorites are Carl's in N. Denver, and The D Note's eclectic pies in Old Town Arvada.

while im not sure how similar to chicago it is(ive tried a thick crust chicago pizza when in was in hoffman estates/woodfield mall area for work and it tasted like thick crust pizza) they have great thick crust pizza. sometimes the dough tastes like pillsbury dough, which i like.

That looks like what I had, and I didn't like it. I just filled up on all the crust! I prefer thin crust, but just a preference.
