If you want to get a taste of biking in the foothills, you can ride the paved bike path starting from near Homestead Golf Course (in Lakewood), up Mt. Carbon, through Bear Creek Park and on to Morrison (it's all paved), and then onto Red Rocks Park. And if you want to get off the paved trail, you can take off on one of the many unpaved trails that criss-cross Bear Creek Park.

Nearby Green Mountain Sports (at Morrison & Green Mountain Blvd) also rents bikes.
