Yes, but only about once a month at Golden Corral or at a Chinese buffet.

I manage not to gain weight because I eat 80% healthy/20% crap the rest of the time.

As far as owing myself a workout I do tend to work out an extra 15 minutes the next day, probably out of guilt more than anything else.

I'm not a big buffet person, food is cheap/crappy IMO but there's nothing wrong with eating it every now and again. When I do go there though its pretty obvious who the regulars are.......

I go to buffets like Sweet Tomatoes or Fresh Choice about three times per year and yes, I do tend to overdo it. I've been the same weight/clothing size for 9 years, so I'm not worried about gaining weight when I stuff myself on occasion. In terms of exercise, I don't add an extra workout or work out harder to make up for the extra calories I've consumed.

Oh one other thing - It "might" not have been sitting there so long as to acquire a bunch of stomach distressing bacteria.

Eh, when I do buffets these days, I tend to limit it to Japanese buffets. There is a limit to how much damage you can do with sushi/sashimi (I prefer the more basic stuff to the westernized mayonnaise and deep fry concoctions) or the steam fish/grilled meats from the cooked section. Of course, if you go nuts at the tempura tray, you'll have a problem.

Just because there's a lot of food in front of you doesn't mean you have to eat it all.
Exactly.

Clearly you haven't been to a Las Vegas buffet.

That was my big treat when I went to Vegas in the past (I've been there only 3 times, obviously not a "regular").

Getting comped a buffet meal - ham shaved by the station chef while you watch, for dinner, with enough variety in salad options to eat *just* salad and get a full day's nutrition and flavor... and while-you-watch custom omelets for breakfast, and bagels with lox and creamcheese and raw red onion with capers...

There's nothing tasteless about that! Very easy to overeat, but mostly because it tastes so good. I mean, when it comes down to it, there's no such thing as "too much" bacon, amirite?

Yeah, Las Vegas Buffets are worth pigging out at!

Here's the pic of my $9.28 Golden Corral Breakfast. I ate all of it except for 1/6 of the omelet, as I felt full. Then I skipped lunch and ate ok for dinner. I weighed 152.0 lbs the next day, same weight as the day I ate the buffet, so no weight gain!

Only buffet worth pigging out at is a Vegas Buffet or AC breakfast buffet. Nothing else is worth it. I usually don't go, because it's just too much low quality food that is going to make you feel fat and bloated for several days after. A better option is just to go to a Thai restaurant with some friends, order 3 or 4 dishes, and just share all of them, family style or whatever.
