My little doggy was attacked 2 weeks ago and died last week. My dad says it was attacked by a larger white dog. Problem is, hes not good with dog breeds so I want to show him a bunch of different breeds so we can tell animal control. They have been less than helpful so I need to get more info so when I f'n scream at them, I have enough info for them to do something.
Other white breeds are Samoyed, Great Pyrenees, Labrador Retrievers can be very light colored (almost white), Maremma and Abruzzes Sheepdog.
I am not sure, maybe Chow Chow dogs as well as Akitas might have a white variety. There are some Siberian Huskys that are very, very light colored.
Bull Terriers (not the same thing as pitbulls) are white, as are American Bulldogs. Occasionally you will find a Dalmation that does not have many spots and appears to be white.
Schnauzers can be very light silver that can look almost white. Then, there is the possibility that the dog was an albino, which means it could be any breed.
If you go to images.google.com and put in "white dog" you will see quite a large selection.
Sorry to hear about your dog. Any breed can be white...boxers, Bulldogs, huskies, akitas, german shepherds...really, tons of breeds and mixes.
Was this near your home? Was this a neighbor's dog? Maybe you can go back to where it happened to see if you see the dog/owner? Again, sorry to hear about your pup, I can't imagine what you're going through!

You need to get a little more info from your dad.
Was the fur long or short?
Were the ears upright or floppy
Did the tail curl over the back or straight out. For that matter was it a thin tail or bushy?
if i recall correctly, the offending dog was being walked by some children.... can you find out which house the CHILDREN belong to?? that would probably be easier than trying to figure out what kind of dog and where it lives......

Poodles come in ALL sizes! And can be White! Some Labs look more White than yellow anymore! Also Labadoodles. How large is large?? I also raise White Shelties....my 1 male was 16 inches at the shoulder. And there are White Collies!

Thats why I asked him to get a little more info from his Dad. Way too many breeds to pick from right now.
