Never had and my dog never had them. I am finding more bites and also my dog each day. I am giving her more baths but nothing working.
All the years i have lived in the country my dog and I never had them until my mom was cutting down on the bushes. Even her dogs don't have them. She thinks it's silly to take the dog to the vet but my gosh i have them worse than her.
Where are you located? I'm just curious - I encountered chiggers once in the Jersey pines. It was awful.
If you have gotten them off of your dog, it could be that the bites are just showing up belatedly. Is she having an allergic reaction? Swelling beyond the location of the bites? Is she hugely uncomfortable?
If any of these things are happening, go to the vet. With a boston terrier, their breathing is so weird, it would seem like a good idea. If she's just a little itchy, breathing fine and the bites are tiny, I wouldn't worry.
Since this is the first time she's had them. I would take her to the vet. As noted above Bostons can have breathing issues so no sense taking the risk. The vet could also tell you what to do if it happens again or maybe recommend something to keep them off her.
Nevermind this morning i found 19 chiggers on the bed where she was sleeping only 2 were barely alive.
Last after her bath i put a little bit of peppermint oil on her and i sprayed peppermint oil on the bed.

Chiggers are arachnids, just like ticks are, so probably the tick bite treatments will keep chiggers from biting. However, chiggers attach via their little mouth parts which then break off and are left in the skin, causing itching usually. At that point the chigger itself is long gone.

I put peppermint lotion on my body and now i feel critters crawling. I put my dog in a crate before I left because I wanted to wash the sheets. So tonight i am going to give her another bath and spray some peppermint lotion on her again.

You said you put peppermint oil on her and sprayed peppermint oil on the bed. I hope it was heavily dilluted. It is not safe to use pure peppermint oil on a dog

Are you sure they're chiggers? Chiggers are about the size of a dot made by a very sharp pencil -
