I'm so sorry Keeper. Any guess at a long term prognosis for the little one?

I'm so glad you have him. I know he knows he's loved. Hugs to you both.

What a lovely cutie in the pic.
No one should ever sound apologetic "I only had him one year." That's like saying, "It's only a dog/cat/pet," why am I so sad? Love is love. Caring for a being, especially after a cruel or hard time- there is NOTHING more valuable in the world. I have to believe that that love and caring reverberates on some level through the world, in addition to enveloping the little guy himself.

Glad he's coming home. And it sounds like a great and loving home to be in. Thinking of you Rocky!

And what a handsome boy he is!

Prayers and best wishes coming for both you and Rocky, Keeper.

I read you post yesterday and didn't answer it; I'm still sad from losing our last Yorkie more than a year ago. She was diagnosed with cancer and underwent surgery when she was about about 10. The vet said she could live another couple years with chemo treatments or maybe one year without them. We decided we didn't want to put her through the treatments. She finally passed 6+ years later at almost 17 years old! She was a fighter! Then again, we lost our previous Yorkie at age 3. You just never know. Enjoy them while you can. They're wonderful companions -- such loyalty and love!

Well he came home last night. He actually wagged his tail when he saw me.. that made my day. I didn't get to talk to the vet but she has said we will just see how he does and to call her if he needs her. That is the good about small town vets. He goes back in a week.

He looks better and ate a lot last night. Now watching for poop to be sure he is OK that way.

Thank you all so much.. It is good to have friends like you all

Congratulations to Rocky. Excellent sign that he ate well when he got home - poor love must've been starving with that hospital food...best of wishes for you both.
