If Turner starts any of the abolish social program crap here, they'll tar and feather him. I do not think many of the older people are even aware of his stances on those issues.
Your kidding, right?
He got elected, sounding just like Michelle Bachmann with a deeper voice.
How embarrassing for my home borough...only 18,000 votes cast all told. We could have kept this wacko out of office. Oh, well...it shouldn't be the end of the world. He probably hasn't got enough time to do much damage. And it's not like he was elected emperor.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.
It has been explained why that district is different than any other district in the U.S. You just choose to not see it. Fine. Have you ever been there? My guess, probably not, or you just choose to not admit that there is a huge difference.
Oh yes, it's just so different. Been in dem hands for close to a century, was the seat of Shumer, Ferraro, Weiner, Gore won the district 67%, obama won it by 11. What a tough, tough environment for the dems to win in.
If this district is "difficult" for them, what will those districts occupied by 40 House dems that lean republican be like?
that picture won us many votes (I'll also like thank God for helping me (most likely (I found that picture soon after he was selected)) be the first to use at the beginning of the campaign)

He's right that this district was different (but the there are parts of it that Turner did better in that never would have done so good if it wasn't for Obama mostly from the Irish and Italian vote if you want to see how this will play out across the country)
the great thing about the democrats today is there is something for everyone to hate. (I could see this type of election possiblly playing out in other parts of the North East and Midwest in what left of the ethnic white neighborhoods and towns especially if there are some Orthodox neighborhoods and towns)
