I think he's a globalist, but I also think the same about Perry and Cain.
Agreed, although I think the more accurate description might be "Corporatist".

The other candidates have simply shown how extreme they are or how moderate they are. Either is a no win situation in the chaos that is republican land.

This is bad for democrats because he is the one with the best chance of beating Obama.
There isn't a Republican alive who can explain why this country suffers mightily whenever we have a Republican President. Romney was soundly rejected in '07, and despite his presence here, his party is desperately seeking to latch on to just about ANYONE else. They were ready to embrace Perry, but Perry proved to be nothing more than a clueless caveman. They are ready to embrace Christie if he runs. One gets the impression that if Palin decided to run, she's be favored over that pompous goon Romney.

If Romney wins, it will not be because of his ingenious ideas, extraordinary record, or overwhelming support by those who know him best. If will be because the GOP thinks there is nobody else who stands a chance against President Obama. As everyone knows however, the political instints and judgment of the Republican party gave us Bush. They stink in this regard. If Romney is propped up there as their nominee, with his empty rhetoric and his party's continuing failures, he will be annihilated by President Obama, a man far his superior in every way.

This is NOT the place to discuss Mormonism. If you wish to do so please visit the Religion forum.

Exactly right! And there is no reason to hide it, take a christian who actually lives according to their faith, has high moral standards and lives family first, and there you have it......a mormon, its not so scary.

Ya'll need to get on board. Romney is the only one who can win against Obama. Perry has as much chance as Palin. None.

This country has suffered under BOTH Republicans and Democrats equally if not more so under Democrats.

If a Republican is to win in 2012, I'd rather have it be Romney than the other nutjobs.

Romney is the exact same type of politician as Clinton/Bush/Obama - elect him and our downward spiral continues. He is part of the problem, not the solution.

Not so. Many would win against this failed presidency. I vote Paul.
