It's just bizarre, the wiki and google says October 3, and then there's these gems available on the web from REPUTABLE sources.
It makes zero sense!
REPUTABLE is not the same thing as infallible. And US magazine is hardly reputable. I've had this happen to me when I had my five years of fame. All it took was one mistake on the part of one journalist and since they all copy from each other without verifying facts, it doesn't take very long for false information to be spread by "reputable" sources. I even had a journalist tell me to my face, "we have deadlines to meet, we don't have time to check facts."
Personally, I think he made a mistake by announcing his anniversary on a public debate stage. Why? Because the crowd was forbidden to applause or otherwise make any noise. Making such an announcement to a shackled audience is akin to a comedian telling a joke that no one in the audience gets. Announcing your anniversary to an audience who can't respond gives the impression of the announcement falling flat on it's face. That's why there was an awkward silence after he announced it. The segue absolutely sucked because there was no audience reaction to feed off of. Horrible timing....did nothing for the guy except give Mitt Romney a chance to joke about it....which he did....and was successful in execution of that joke.
Or maybe you should stop defending people lying. If this had been Romney, you'd be jumping up and down in outrage, and you know it..
Doubt it, I am planning a wedding now and we are talking about having two different wedding dates, a legal one in New York and a formal one shortly after in Oregon. We will be celebrating the formal one as our anniversary. So I actually have personal experience in this matter.
