Yes, and I should have elaborated on my comment. Americans have demonstrated that they are ready and willing to vote for a black president (and perhaps a woman, though I'm not so sure, based on the attacks aimed at Hillary and Palin). However, race isn't an excuse for poor performance. Once you're in the big chair, you have the job to do and the country will hold you to it...even if you're a minority. We won't keep a poor performer as president to meet a quota.
With all due respect, most of the POTUS do "only average". Not one is actually better than the other. "we" love to take shots at our political leaders but no matter what side of the fence you're on, they're not going to work miracles. IF you want to get their attention, all voters should stop voting, then that'll get their attention and then they'll start working together.
As long as Americas think one party is better than the other, the tom-foolery will continue.

There is truth to that...and alot will vote for him because he's not Obama. Not because of race, but they aren't happy with the way the country has been managed for the last 4 years. I'm not enthused about him, but will probably vote for Romney, just because I think he has some idea of what this country needs. He comes across as much more of a leader than Obama, rather than someone that just has to blame others. I'm not happy with his position on supporting rebels in the ME, or abortion rights. I'll hold my nose and go with the lesser two evils. And hope he actually does better for the next 4 years. It's equally true that many will vote for Obama simply because he IS black.
Time to actually FIND A JOB and become PRODUCTIVE citizens instead of only TAKING from those who DO something.

You're right about that. We're all pawns, and it's all about money! Which is exactly why I'm not voting for either! Both parties are playing us for fools! If more people actually stopped playing "the lesser of two evils" game then the politicians might actually have to do their job, and do what is in the best interest of ALL AMERICANS!
For me I will wonder if people like Farrakhan are right after all. I honestly felt that America had changed until the tea party showed up and now after one debate how could mitt and his the rich first policies be accepted. Then I started reading about the white male vote and how it never goes anywhere but for other white males and I realized why romney made his come back.
So now I have to wonder how does this same attitude play out in everyday life? if these men will not support anyone but their own race then should minorities be the same way? I knew there was plenty of racism in the GOP but now I have to wonder is it just the GOP and the tea party or is it much wider and deeper than that?
