To take this further, have any of you ladies had a BOSS who acted like him? I have. Condescending, treating you like you were intellectually lacking? Not worthy of anything more than making his coffee? Yet, he's one of the "good old boys", so he's untouchable.
I worked under someone (not direct boss, but a hgiher up) who WAS Joe Biden in another form, acted just like him in the VP debate, PLUS broke wind in my presence.
My own boss told me to ignore him, he's an a**hole.
No... But yet again i have never told so many lies in lets say a meeting.
Both parties in DC are made up of corrupt and power hungry individuals (mostly). They do a good job of dividing and conquering, though.
As for the debate, I have lost respect for Joe Biden. I used to like him. I watched the debate on a split screen view and was very disturbed when I saw his antics, planned, or unplanned. Arrogance on his part, acting like he was above being there, not my cup of tea. Someone must have clued him in at mid point to stop doing what he was doing because he settled down a little.
Anyone who expected civility from the participants was truly disappointed. And how a participant could present himself to 60 million people in that manner makes me think he really was under duress.
Personally, I could not see either one of them being our president. But Joe Biden more so as not being our president, which really surprised me.
Both parties tell plenty of lies and have been doing so for decades. We need a third party in this country asap.
I love you, CrownVic, but disagree with you here. Biden seemed like he had no impulse control. Ryan, on the other hand, acted mature and patient even when dealing with Biden's out of control behavior. To me, that is presidential - and Biden's antics were not.
But I do respect your opinion; you know that!
As I do yours, luz.
I understand where you're coming from, and I basically agree with you about that kind of behavior generally. Two factors, though, cause me to modify my stance where the debate is concerned.
It's a national political debate....where opponents must be somewhat aggressive to reasonably expect to prevail....as opposed to the Sunday afternoon friendly bar-b-Que. Kinda like a professional boxing match where it is expected that opponents are going to throw some hard punches....whereas we don't expect or accept that behavior in the rest of our daily lives.
I detest political correctness and its stifling "impulse control" in today's America generally as well as in politics. That's why I find Joe's "shoot from the hip" style refreshing in comparison to the completely canned, scripted, and phony Paul Ryans and Barak Obamas of the world.
Sorry, but my gut tells me that Ryan is a guy that was bought and paid for long before his first run for office. And corporate ownership of politicians today is a greater threat to America's future freedom and prosperity than any foe we have ever faced.
Just my opinion and, of course, I always respect yours.
Thanks dumbass Joe Biden!!! You can always be counted on! It sounds like Obama may be getting ready to throw Hillary Clinton under the bus - blaming her for the Libya consulate attack in which four Americans died. I hope he does! The Clintons have the means to retaliate against Obama...and Obama will lose many votes from Clinton followers.
Here' another Ryan lie. Vice President Biden called Ryan out when he claimed our Oregon Democratic Senator Ron Wyden agreed with him on his Medicare Plan. "This is a plan that's bipartisan. It's a plan I put together with a prominent Democrat senator from Oregon." Ryan referred to Wyden as "our partner." Biden shot back, "There's not one Democrat who endorses it."
Senator Wyden did work with Ryan on a position paper last year. But he does not support the current proposal from Ryan and Romney.
Wyden's Comments:
... it differs from the Wyden-Ryan paper in significant ways. ... for example, that the plan "shreds" the safety net for so-called "dual eligibles," those who are on both Medicare and Medicaid. He writes, "The Romney/Ryan plan on Medicare is further proof that Mitt Romney is singularly unfit to end gridlock and bring bipartisan solutions to Washington." Sen. Wyden Mentioned In VP Debate » News » OPB
Rude? He acted just like Romney did last week and, hence, was declared the winner. I thought both were over the top, but oh well.
OK, prove it. We know the count for Biden is over 82.
How many time did Romney interrupter Obama?
Put up, or shut up as they say.
