No it probably will.
I DO expect "complaining" - as you infer, there's ALWAYS "complaining". The key question will be "How Much?"
Ken
In every disaster there is a coming together period that eventually unwinds to an anger and blame game as people become understandably frustrated with the unavoidably slow process of recovery. We'll still be coming together by Tuesday.

I don't know.... Americans are not very patient when it comes to being inconvenienced. I suspect that by the end of the weekend people will be getting plenty tired of things if there's not be basic infrastructure improvements. No one is expecting houses to be rebuilt of course but power needs to be back up in Manhattan and folks without homes are going to want to be placed SOMEWHERE real soon.
Fortunately I think things are - at least so far - moving remarkably smoothly (wayyyyyy better than after Katrina to be sure) but there's still a LOT of work to be done.
All in all I expect things to go relatively and for Obama to benefit at the polls as a result, BUT I'm not 100% sure of that. It's wayyyyyy too complex a disaster to be THAT comfortable.
The GOP spin machine is in full effect when it comes to the state polls. These guys are complaining hard. Boy, when Obama wins on Tues. night they're gonna go bananas on fox.

I don't think Cuomo will be faulting Obama and neither will the the Governor of NJ, Obama's new best friend.

No I don't think EITHER of those will happen. I was referring to whatever issues come up with the recovery efforts (and there's ALWAYS issues with the recovery efforts) and how much coverage they get in the media.

No, if and when Obama wins on Tuesday, FOX will be pretty somber and quiet (just like they were last time Obama won).
I am reading the guy's book. He is quite chatty, and he cannot resist lecturing. Cruise over to his website and read a few entries. Most are like short stats articles. Total nerd, but a surprisingly good communicator.
I am sure he could explain his reasoning much better than I could.
