Welcome aboard mate!

On that note, how many "members" will disappear from the boards in the weeks following the election?
We can all name at least 5 that have been starting at least 10 threads on a daily basis. I wonder if they are doing piece work...

Maybe the evening news showing Obama being President and doing a terrific job of it? Obama was made for a crisis. He projects total calm and control. Otherwise, it's polls, polls, and more polls coming up Obama.

I don't know.

I've been watching it all day and Romney has dropped four or five percentage points since this morning, though.

Maybe that gallup poll that shows who Americans think will win in the end? It is an indicator of "morale" so to speak, and Obama is up almost 20 points in that poll.

Election will still be very close though.

I'd be happy with a nice big blowout (for Obama, of course.)

Yeah, Intrade has Obama at nearly 70% (68.8%). That's a HUGE jump - only a bit more than 10 points away from his all-time high this election cycle. Must have been the combination of all those new polls out today showing gains for Obama and the coverage he's getting because of the hurricane relief efforts.

I also noticed that RCP's "no tossup" map has Colorado once more as "Blue" instead of "Red" and the projected electoral count of that situation is now Obama 290 and Romney 248. Romney's recent gains DO seem to be slipping away nearly everywhere. Vermont has gone back to "Blue" and now so has "Colorado" - though the leads ARE still very slight (especially in Colorado). Still, the momentum seems to have swung back to the President.
