Ugh.
He is not his brother: as much as I hope he deosn't run for many reasons, wanting to run doesn't make him any of what ou are saying. Why would you even think that?

She is also anti-amnesty.
So she says. Since she is Hispanic I think she will show her true colors on amnesty eventually.

He is, as I said, "an arrogant, entitled, selfish, sadistic elitist". I lived through his tenure in Florida during his brother's regime. Prior to that, he was OK. Afterwards, fuhgeddaboudit. And it doesn't seem as if he's gotten any better. For starters, there was the whole Katherine Harris hanging chad debacle. And then we were graced with the Terry Schiavo drama, something into which he should never have stuck his nostrils.

Let me also point out that in Florida, if a family member residing with a family in public housing gets busted for drugs, out goes the whole family. Of course, the rules were different for JEB! when his daughter got popped for illegal use of prescription and other drugs. He stayed firmly in the governor's mansion.

Finally, I find it in completely poor taste that he would even think of running, given what his brother did to the country. To have all that dredged up is going to be most painful for the citizens, but JEB! couldn't care less. Because it's very clear he's thinks he's entitled to be the Republicant candidate. Aside from being in extremely poor taste, it's sadistic.

Dear God, PLEASE! No more Bushes, no more Clintons.

Your right about that!
Remember, illegal aliens and tourist cannot vote.
They said that about Gregg Abbott in Texas, where the population is very high hispanic voters and he didn't get beat. Even the hispanics here are very conservative and hate the illegals the most.
Jebs brother & dad, did pretty good with the hispanic vote.

I agree no more Clintons or Bushes, but everyone has their own ideas when it comes to Bush during his brothers regime. Both our son and daughter, and their families live in Florida: both happen to really like him and were happy with him as governor. So it is a matter of opinion. BTW, living in public housing is a bit different than living in the governors mansion. You obviously see this from one side, others see it from their side. you are not going to vote for a Republican anyway based on many of your past posts.

As I said, before he came under his brother's influence, he was OK as a governor. In some ways, he's a very good manager and really showed his management chops when it came to hurricanes, of which, by the way, we had quite a few during his tenure. In fact I thought he did a fine job during Andrew and its aftermath, but given that his father was in the White House at the time, we did get a lot of support that we might not otherwise have gotten. We were grateful for that, though.

I think things would have been quite different had he been President instead of his brother. He would not have had to contend with all the BS that his brother saddled him with and he probably could have managed the country just fine, in an alternate history. But, they had to go to the elections with the Bush they had, not the one they wanted. It's sad, but JEB! is damaged goods now, due to his brother, and likely will act accordingly and that's why I'm leery of him.

Here's the key point why JEB! should not be president: He didn't stand up to his brother's interference in Florida when he should have, and if he couldn't do that, then I figure he won't be able to stand up to foreign regimes.

The governor's mansion IS public housing. Taxpayers pay for it. It may not be a housing project, but it's still public housing.

As to whether or not I'd vote for a Republican based on many of my past posts, obviously you've missed my disclaimer that I am a registered Republican. Mainly because I believe in the Republic, not the mob, although the party has been co-opted by the neocon mob at this time. If Jeff Sessions were to declare for the presidency, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. I don't see anyone else in the Republican field who appeals to me. As it is, if Jim Webb declares as a democrat, I will support him.

Thank you for your thoughtful posts. I appreciate them.

Unfortunately, most Hispanic voters with roots from south of our border do put their ethnic group above our immigration laws and are demanding amnesty for them. Both Bushs' were amnesty pushers so it is no surprise that they got a good percentage of the Hispanic vote.

1) Brother & Dad didn't run against the minority candidate in Obama where Latinos identified themselves to make history in America. You think Poppa Bush or W Bush would have done better with Latinos against Obama?

2) Illegals aliens are not supposed to be here or work without permission or use fake/stolen I.D. to apply for stuff but they do.....its call breaking the law.
