Only way Trump or Sanders is going to get anything done is if there is a wave election to remove the majority of incumbents, but also replace them with actual citizens willing to do the work f the people not more corporate puppets.
I like the part about deporting 12 million people. Each one of them is allowed to have a hearing. Just how long do you think that will take? Like 25 years?
I highly suspect Trump will have the most conservative Congress in recent history. That's how.
"Conservatism" -- at least in the distorted use of the term peddled by the so-called "progressives" -- bears no resemblance whatsoever to the free exchange of resources advocated by the libertarian (small 'l', please) component of the opposition to the present Administration.
As an economic, rather than a social conservative, and an unashamed advocate of open markets, I view all interference with the interplay of supply and demand as doomed to fail in the long run; politicians merely go looking for scapegoats and offering "remedies" which are more in line with the interests of their particular clientele. A large share of the values of Trump's core clientele were formed in the Forties, Fifties and Sixties; unfortunately for all of us, they retain an innate suspicion toward the policies which, ironically, ignited the Great Recovery of the Eighties -- and consigned the last of Europe's bloody dictatorships to the trash bin in the process.
The worst of those dictatorships built walls at its borders to keep its slave laborers in; too many of Trump's groupies believe that a wall can "protect" a supposed "advantage" which has already been largely competed away. One wonders what "variety of whine" will be offered when the "new protectionism" doesn't work, but the current occupant of the White House and his sycophants and cronies clearly represent an equal, if not greater threat -- far more than Trump's follies and his groupies' foibles and fantasies.

During the recession three million self-deported in six months.
