...but a man involved in the decision shouldn't be.

Quote:
Donald Trump said there would “have to be some form of punishment” for women who have abortions if the procedure were outlawed, NBC News reports.

He didn’t offer specifics, noting that the punishment would “have to be determined.”

When asked if a man should bear responsibility for abortions as well, Trump said “no” he didn’t think so.
I'm beginning to wonder if he's purposely doing everything possible to keep from being elected. I'm not sure there's another explanation.

Yep. This is just one reason why 71% of women find him unfavorable, expect that number to keep climbing. He is starting to unravel. He says something more stupid and outrageous every day. If by some miracle he wins the GOP nomination, NOV is a long time away. He will have said so many more stupid things, his unfavorable among the average voter will be at record numbers and he will lose in an epic landslide.

Who would have thought Ted Cruz would be the rational one on this subject? Sure would suck to be a woman of childbearing years in Trump's America.

About every other day I say to myself that Trump can't get any worse, and he proves me wrong every time.

If you believe that abortion is murder then yes there should be very serious consequences including murder charges on the person who has the abortion.
If you believe that abortion is murder then how can you think otherwise?

Yes this fits neatly into that war on women narrative that will supposedly help Hillary in the general.

The spin! It just keeps going...

Did you even watch the video? Or did you just cut and paste what suits your agenda?

He was asked IF it were illegal, would there need to be punishment.

Trump asked Matthews what he meant, did Matthews mean jail time?

Matthews did not answer that question. He kept hounding Trump, which on this particular issue, I get that, and I would expect it for all candidates.

In the end, Trump stated that there should be some punishment (IF it were illegal), but that could not say what that punishment would be, because it's a serious issue. So he's not just going to fly off and blurt something out to appease people, he would take the time to consider what it should be IF it were ever illegal....which you can all calm down, it's not going to be illegal and you know it.

If something is illegal, and there's no punishment...what sense would that make?

"Murder is illegal, but we're not going to do a thing to you if you murder someone." Seriously, people, get a grip.

Doesn't everyone who wants abortion outlawed believe there should be some punishment for women who get abortions?

How can you enforce a criminal law without punishment?

I'm no Trump fan, but this is an honest answer to the question.

You do realize that is your boy Trump speaking those words of condemnation, not Cruz, right? I won't roll my eyes this time if there are accusations of a War on Women.
