He is attempting to steal delegates that were won fair and square by Trump. Spare me the BS ... Cruz will never get the nomination.

This is pre-planning for a brokered convention. It doesn't look like Trump will get enough delegates to win either, although he will be very close. The odds are highest right now for a brokered convention.

Yep. And if that happens, Trump loses unless he is less than about 10 delegates away from the nomination. If it goes to a second ballot, Trump might as well pack it up, get on his plane and go home, because he is literally finished.

This is what is most likely to happen and Cruz is preparing himself for this highly probable outcome. And the ultimate win.

The more likely outcome is Trump running as an Independent and decimating any chance Cruz has to use his little black book from the Green Room.

rubbish, you dont know how a brokered convention works. if trump does not have enough delegates to win on the first ballot then ALL delegates are free to vote for whomever they wish on subsequent ballots. but delegates are locked in on the first ballot only.

now if cruz, or any other candidate, were to try and get delegates that are pledged to other candidates to vote for them on the first ballot, then THAT would be attempting to steal delegates.

perhaps you should learn about brokered conventions, and how the process actually works instead of popping off and showing your lack of knowledge.

So are the Arizona delegates locked in for Trump on the first ballot right now or not ?

Yes they are locked for Trump on the first ballot, and nothing Cruz is doing currently can or will change that.

As I thought, so Cruz is trying to steal them in case of a second ballot.

The delegates are only bound on the first ballot (some states are a little longer), so they can vote for whoever they want. It isn't stealing, since they are no longer bound to Trump at that point. Every candidate has the ability to do the exact same thing.

For the first ballot, yes the delegates are locked. For any ballots afterwards, no. From the 2nd ballot forward they may vote as they choose. Cruz's camp is courting them for the second vote and beyond, not the first.

That is not stealing. The delegates cease to be Trump's after the first vote. This is why people keep saying if he doesn't go into the convention with 1,237 delegates he will not be the nominee.
