How does he plan to have "unbelievable intelligence" that we don't have now?
Torture and waterboarding (though I understand waterboarding doesn't really work any more, so he's going to lock them in a room with Omarosa and Meatloaf for hours).

He's been watching Game of Thrones for other ideas.

Turkey has no interest in sending troops to defeat ISIS, and Iran, Syria and the Kurds would consider such an action an invasion.

What will Trump do about the Russian naval and air bases in Syria?

NATO nations won't even consider increasing their defense budgets to the level of the U.S., let alone sending substantial ground troops in an unlimited commitment to defeat ISIS.

Trump will decide this like he decided his VP choice: He will dither. He will spend lots of time dithering and in the end, he'll be unable to make a choice -- or he'll make a choice, then change his mind. Any good outcomes, it will be all his work. Any bad outcomes? Someone else's fault.

I think the declaration would give him war powers act powers to do what has to be done within our borders and control the media. Which I agree with.

The only redeeming value I see in Trump winning is it should bring the anti war folks back out of hiding.
We still have troops overseas. My husband and friends of ours are there. There are rumors of Syria and many are preparing to find out they are going there.

There is intelligence that is gathered but not acted on....or it's so hush-hush that they are trying to make a plan on what to do. I know someone who collected intel on a guy who was on the deck of cards and was able to act on that intel...which resulted in the capture of this person.
It irritates me to no end hearing candidates saying what they will and will not do without knowing all the deep details of things.

I think it is important to have military advisers and I do think that between Hillary and Trump, that Trump would listen to their opinion. He seems to be one of those who likes to get the facts.
This is how myself and others feel about Hillary. I have yet to come across a military member or military family member who supports or will vote for Hillary.

Not another blood bath like Iraq. That crap needs to stop. We are not the only country with a military, but it always falls on us. We have our own problems and ISIS to deal with at this time and the Dems have just let it take off like "a house a fire".
Oh, yeah, let's resurrect the military draft ... and start hunting down evil ISIS operatives hiding in the US just like Joe McCarthy and J Edgar Hoover hunted down Communist infiltrators back in "the good ol' days" of the 1950s.

You're only beginning to think that? The only ones more delusional, arrogant, and ignorant than Trump are his cheerleaders.

What, exactly, makes you think that some demented, ignorant, narcissistic bully who can't even listen to his closest advisors who are trying to get him elected is going to listen to anybody or anything but the sound of his own voice and the wind whistling through the empty space between his ears if he were elected POTUS?

And Hillary is just what you described. How can she lead when she cannot lead by example? Or how can she make decisions for our nation if her security clearance gets revoked?

I wonder how the top secret intelligence briefings Trump will be receiving soon will affect his rhetoric.

Quote:
There is an old political saw about how a White House candidate believes firmly in his foreign policy views — until that first top-secret briefing. In his recent book, former CIA Director Michael Hayden says these revelations are known as “aw, s—-” moments — as in, “Aw, s—-, wish we hadn’t said that during the campaign.”
