Then why didn't democrats, especially Louisiana democrat governor Kathleen Blanco tell President Bush to wait a few weeks after hurricane Katrina? Do you people really think this country has forgotten how illogical and insane democrats were towards the POTUS following Katrina? Do you people think we've gotten over how political you made that tragedy? Give me a break, we remember it like it was yesterday. Democrats were downright vile and evil during that event and we all know why, the people of Louisiana remember it very well.
It's pretty clear that you don't actually know why Bush was criticized after Katrina.
It wasn't because he did or didn't visit.
It was because the overall relief efforts were as much of a disaster as the storm.
It was because people were left stranded with no services for days and days.
There is absolutely no comparison between the federal response then and the response now.
The current disaster declaration was signed by the President immediately and, yes, during his vacation.
Interesting that you dismiss a situation where people did not get the help they needed but criticize one where it is pretty clear that all available resources have been properly organized in order to justify a photo op.
